Paving A Way For Students
Trotec EDU is a program dedicated to pave a career path to students interested in various different fields. If the knowledge in laser machines start at the high school level, then picked up again in college/university, students will have both hands-on and theoretical experience to open doors to new opportunities.
These are skills that can be transferred to a career path in many diverse industries, some of them are listed below.
Model Maker: A Case Study
David Domanski worked with the Trotec laser machines when he was studying in the University of Waterloo. When he came on board at Our Home & Miniature Land (later re-named as Little Canada), he was surprised to see that all the cutting was modeling materials was done by hand.
He introduced the company to their first Trotec Speedy 100 and instructed the staff on its capabilities. They soon found out that production time decreased significantly when using the laser machine, but also the engraving capabilities opened a new world of patterns and designs onto the materials itself (for example a brick pattern engraving onto a side of a house).
This major asset to the business could not have been achieved had David not used and practiced and used the Trotec machine in school!
